AM/PM kindergarten started their day with a morning meeting and table time rotations.
Today students reviewed what they have learned so far about lines, looked for lines in the classroom and listened to a new song about lines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQEVllmeWH4 . Time to show what we know. Students were asked to draw four lines that we have covered so far. Ask your child which lines they can see and if they have a favourite?
(straight, zig-zag, spiral or swirl, and curvy)
Lines are all around us. Students enjoyed searching for lines in the classroom:
Landon - "I see a straight line on the floor"
Seth "I see a straight line"
Emalyn "I see a row straight, side and straight on the window
Maise "The shelf is a straight line"
Robbie "The roof vent is squiggly"
Brielle - That string is like a zig-zag mountain
AM Kindergarten would like to wish Kaydan a very happy Birthday which he will be celebrating tomorrow. We hope you have a very happy day and enjoy your favourite cake, "spiderman cake"!
