Students enjoyed starting their day with a new table time math activity.
Rolling a dice and finding the matching quantity is a great way to practice subitizing skills. Subitizing is the ability to instantly identify "how many". Kindergarten are working towards subitizing dots in familiar (and later unfamiliar) arrangements up to five.
Thank you New Brighton School for our lovely gift!
Student enjoyed a shared reading of our brand new book.
Each student had a chance to share a time when they experienced a problem ...
Willa: "I had a problem last night. It was a problem about a bad dream about Zombies. Mommy and Daddy helped me and let me sleep in their room."
Jax: "I had a bad dream about four hundred monsters attacking me. I solved my problem. I just woke up and then went back to sleep."
Zack: " I had a problem yesterday. I had my bat stuffy in my neighbours garage and I lost it. But their Mom found it yesterday so I got it back!"
Layla: "I hurt me knee and feel down on the steps. It was a big splat and open wide. My Daddy and Mom put a band-aid on it and I felt better.
Ashton: "I had a problem when I went to fish creek with my Dad. I slipped into the water. My Dad and Mom helped me and I just got changed at home.
