Friday Nov. 29th

Happy Friday AM Kindergarten

Students started their day with assorted table time.

Congratulations to our Rock Star of the day, Poppy! Poppy will bring her paper in next week to share with friends.  Poppy spoke about being born in Canada, her ability to speak English and French at home as well as her special family traditions around Christmas time.
Students participated in a shard viewing of Snowmen at Night

Students discussed their ideas for what snowmen do at night:

Arjun: Maybe they play
Sineen:  I think they were having fun and having snowball fights
Isla:  I think they were planning tennis
Julian:  I think they come alive at night like a zombie
Sarim:  I think they played basketball and tennis
Kash:  Last time kids wrecked my snowman the girl wacked it and the boy wacked it.

Students continue to explore length and comparative measurement.
shorter than / taller than

Students enjoyed a Go Noodle indoor recess break, snack and center time play and learning.

AM students finished their day by returning to finish the book, The BOX. Like the characters in the book, students enjoyed sharing creative ideas for what they would do with an empty cardboard box.

Sineen:  I would make my box it into a car
Jax:  I would make it into house
Jean Phillipe:  A fire truck
Fred: Into a truck
Kaydan:  Tow-truck
Kash:  Maybe a super fast car
Ayan:  I made a box into a Beenie-Boo house
Isla:  into cuckoo- clock
Katerina - a police care
Arjun - a car
Maguire - a Canadian Flag
Julian - any pokemon
Sophie - a Pickachu
Poppy - I would make it into my brother.

Have a great weekend everyone!
