Kindness in Kindergarten

In celebration of World Kindness day students started their day greeting friends and sharing kind words.  Students watched a lovely online video about kindness and commented on the random acts of kindness they saw :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qww_yQqBpqA&feature=youtu.be

Maisie - A girl gave flower to a grandma
Emalyn- the boy walked an older lady across the road

For table time today, students put their kind intentions into actions. Students created a variety  of Thank you notes to brighten the day of our local Veterans. These cards will be sent to the Veterans Association along with food donations and will be available to those accessing the food bank.

Congratulations to today's Rock Stars.  Sarim was our amazing AM Rock Star (we hope to learn more about your families heritage and traditions when your piece of the quilt is ready).  Thank you for doing a great job with all the Rock Star special classroom duties.

Thank you PM Rock Star Hassen.  Hassen shared all about his language, family and his  flag of origin.  Thank you Hassen for trying to teach us some words in Aarbic and for sharing your beautiful piece of the kindergarten quilt with us.

Kindness Cards - a popular writing center today!
Many cards were made for friends, family, teachers and staff!
