Tuesday Feb. 5th

AM kindergarten:  Signed in today using a familiar emotions check-in.
How are you feeling today?

AM kindergarten had chance to return to their learning tables to complete some math.
We are learning what number pairs make  5: Shake it / Draw it / Write it
How many ways can your child make 5?

Table Time:  Printing Like a Pro

Letter A:  Slider Letter
Slide back, slide down and across the middle

AM Learning Job:  informative Writing
I can draw recognizable objects, talk about my drawings and label my drawing by isolating sounds and connecting sounds with letters in words.

Great job AM Reading Rock Star.  Fred chose to read one of his special books, Click, Clack Moo, Cows That Type. Fred likes this book because it is so funny, his classmates agree. Fred read many familiar words throughout the book.
Great reading.
PM kindergarten enjoyed a busy day with Phys. Ed, Library, Snack and Music. Students also completed their letter Aa work and enjoyed center time activities.

Great job PM Reading Rock Star Seth.  Seth decided to share one of his library books with his PM friends. Seth introduced his book and read the title to his classmates.  Thank you Seth for sharing your book with your friends.

Parent Reminders:

A reminder that tomorrow is Winter Walk to School Day. We want to encourage as many students as possible to walk to school tomorrow to promote healthy lifestyles.

Friday Feb. 7th:  PM kindergarten attends (no school for AM kindergarten)

Valentines Day in kindergarten
Students who would like to bring in Valentines mail for their classmates are invited to bring in cards on the following days:

PM kindergarten (21 students):  Valentines day will be celebrated on February 11th. Students are invited to wear pink and red.
AM kindergarten (17 students):  Valentines day will be celebrated on Feb 12th. Students are invited to wear pink and red.

** To ensure all students enjoy delivering their mail please ensure valentine mail is addressed:                          To: My friend         From:___________

** A reminder that our New Brighton School policy requests that we do not distribute food or candy  in our classrooms.  I understand that some students like to give treats or gifts to their friends as part of valentines mail.  If this is something that is important to your child please consider a non-food alternative.

Thank you so much,

Mrs. Dennis
