Table Time Rotations this week include:
Table one: How to draw a person: step by step guided drawing.
Table two: I can print my name: whiteboards and markers
Table three: Roll it - Build it: students roll a dice and add blocks to their tower.
Table four: Writing numbers - print formation.
Today students participated in a shared reading of book, To Be Long. Students discussed length and guessed which snake was longer, shorter or the same. Students then explored the length of their first name. Students wrote their name in a template and compared the length of their name with peers.

Kindergarten will be participating in the Terry Fox run this week. Kindergarten students will join with students and staff for a run/walk around the near by New Brighton pond. Please ensure that your child comes to school with appropriate footwear and outerwear on the following days:

Thank you to those who were able to make it to last weeks parent teacher conferences. It was wonderful to share student work and discuss the year ahead. For those who were unable to attend, please check your child's backpacks for some important handouts.
As discussed at interviews, the CBE provides enhanced classroom supports to kindergarten children. Included in this multidisciplinary team are Speech-Language pathologists (SLPs). Thank you Mrs. Moore for providing this speech sound development chart which outlines the progression of speech articulation over the next few years.
