Terry Fox Run

Today was a special day for kindergarten as students participated in their first school Terry Fox run. Thank you to parents who were able to come out and join us and for your generous donations.

After viewing some online footage on Terry Fox students discussed what they noticed and how they felt:

Fred:  Terry Fox  He ran across Canada for cancer.
Kash: He has a robot leg. He dipped it into the water.
Ayan:  The police car keeps him safe on the road
Poppy: I love Terry Fox
Jax: He ran so far across Canada
Kaydan:  That other little boy was just like Terry Fox, he only had one leg too.

Each student had a chance to colour a picture of Terry Fox. Students worked to add true colours, details, labels and even a few words to share their ideas.

Center Time Fun and Learning

Some new developments at the kitchen center this morning.  

Today, kitchen became an ice cream store with a menu board and the start of some paper money.  

So fun!

The craft table was on board making some extra money for the store 

as well as designing their own sign for a craft store.

PM Kindergarten would like to wish Hassen a very happy Birthday.  We hope you get to enjoy lots of fun with family and friends and a big piece of that Spiderman birthday cake:
