Welcome back to another week of learning.

AM Table Time:  How long is your poppy flower?  Compare your flower to the flower of a friend. Which flower is longer, shorter or the same?

Our learning job today:  Printing-like-a-pro: Qq . Ask your child if they can tell you the sound and action for the letter Qq .

PM Kindergarten would like to wish Caydence a very happy 5th birthday which she celebrated over the weekend with 5 candles on her cake and some wonderful presents.

Thank you Rock Star Isla for sharing about your heritage and family traditions. Isla shared that she was born in Canada and that her family speaks English.  Her name has the letter I in it for Island.  Islas enjoys spending time with her family some of her family traditions include: "I love to dance with my Mom and we go out a Halloween to get candy". 

Thank you Rock Star Zack for teaching us all about your families heritage and traditions.  Zack shared with us his flag from Lebanon and that he speaks Arabic at home, he even wrote some Arabic letters and words for us.  Zack taught us some Arabic words and told his classmates all about what is means to be a Muslim.  Zack shared that he is looking forward to his families tradition of Eid (Zack you shared a different word for this celebration so please correct me if I am incorrect in calling it Eid).  This is a time where he eats a big breakfast with his family and then gets to open lots of presents.  

Please check your child's back packs for some important mail, including a permission form for your child to participate in the FoodImpact in-class presentation.  Please sign and return this form along with payment.
