AM and PM Kindergarten would like to wish you a very 

Happy Pink Shirt Day




After viewing an online video on random acts of kindness, kindergarten discussed how they can show kindness to others. Students worked in their visual journals to draw and write about how they show kindness to others.

PM kindergarten share their ideas on kindness.
How do you show kindness?

Maisie:  I am kind to others because I like helping people and I give them a hug.

Emily:  I was kind when I went first at the dentist. I helped my brother and Dad.

Brayden:  I help people when they fall.

Brielle: I play with people if they are lonely and sad.

Robbie:  Sometimes people don't have food, I could give them food.

Ashton:  You don't grab and you share toys.

Landon:  If someone is hurt you could help them up and if they are still hurt you could tell them a funny joke.

Emalyn:  If a bully tried to take away candy from a bowl at halloween and they take all of it and I could help by putting in more candy.

Seth: When people need help I carry their stuff and help.

Hassen: When my Dad get hurts I can help him.

Caydence:  When someone has to carry a lemonade stand I will help them.

Boston:  When my Dad is going upstairs in the bonus room to watch T.V. and if he forgets something I go and bring it up for him.

Gracie: If someone is lonely I could give them flowers.

Xavier:  I can help someone up.

Lincoln: I can help an old lady cross the road.

Akbar:  When someone is lonely and they don't have anybody to play with I will play with them.

Layla: When my friends are next door I can help them and play with them.

Scarlett:  I could give my friend a drink of water.

Gwyneth:  If a friend was sad in this class I would go and play with them.

Zack: If I went to Landon's house and his Bey Blade broke I would take it home and put it back together with strong glue.

Today's amazing Rock Stars

AM Rock Star: Kash

Kash talked about a very special group that we all belong to, "Mrs. Dennis' AM kindergarten".  Kash is happy to be a member of New Brighton school and he enjoys doing his "learning jobs".  Kash talked about all his classmates in his class picture and received many complements on his presentation.  Great job Kash

PM Rock Star: Caydence

Congratulations to our PM Rock Star Caydence.  Caydence shared that she is a member of a beading club. Her favourite beaded project so far is a beaded unicorn.  Caydence also shared that she belong to a Doctors group. Caydence visits her Doctor when she is sick. Medical clinics are an important part of our local community.  Great point Rock Star Caydence!

Kindergarten finished their day with a shared reading of  Pat Zietlow's lovely book, Be Kind.
