| Julian belongs to a Karate group and loves learning all about Karate. Julian gave his friends a wonderful demonstration and even lead them through an opening ritual: "S is for self control" "I is for Integrity" Julian answered many eager questions and received many complements on his wonderful presentation.   |
PM: Seth

| Seth belongs to swimming lessons and is learning to be a great swimmer. Seth read his report card and told his friends all about his swimming skills. Seth can hold his breath for a long time. True fact! We witnessed a live demonstration:) Seth invites anyone who is interested in joining his swimming group to contact the pool to register. Awesome idea Seth |
AM Kindergarten had a very productive day.
Students began by reviewing animal habitats. Students discussed the needs of their animals and considered if their habitats included all the necessary elements: water, food and shelter. Students decided that we should add some food to their diorama habitats, so they will have a chance to work on that tomorrow. Students also considered the specific needs of their chosen animal: such as a cave for the black bear, trees for owls and porcupines, hiding places for snowshoe hards and lots of water for the moose who loves to swim and eat aquatic plants.

Center Time Activities
AM students Willa and Katerina are designing a medical clinic. Today's Doctors were treating animals for cuts and giving them needles. "Doctors wear gloves" so these creative Kinders wore their mittens.
AM architect Fred is constructing an animal habitat.
PM kindergarten also enjoyed Music and Physical Education.

AM Kindergarten participated in a shared reading of Magic breath and discussed how mindful breathing and thinking positive thoughts can help when we feel busy or sad.
