Amazing AM / PM Rock Stars

Congratulations to AM Rock Star Sophie.  Sophie did not bring her items to show today but she did opt to speak about the groups she belongs to.  Sophie shared that she belongs to a baseball team and several dance groups including ballet, tap and jazz.  Her favourite is ballet because it is slow.  Sophie finished her presentation in dancer form, with a curtsy.

Our Learning Job today:  What does 9 look like?

Students worked in their Math books today to represent the number nine in a variety of ways:  numeral, word, number line, tally marks, ten frame, picture, fingers and through number pairs.

Students used their Shake It / Draw It / Write it template to record as many different number pairs that make nine as they could.  Great job kindergarten.

Thank you Rock Star Brielle for sharing the groups that you belong to with PM kindergarten.  Brielle spoke about one particular group, her gymnastics club.  Brielle answered many questions and gave a demonstration of a shape jump (star jump).

Parent Reminders:  This Friday is PM kindergarten
