Congratulations to our AM Rock Star Arjun. Arjun shared his flag of origin and the meaning of his very special name. Classmates were excited to hear all about Diwali and all the lovely food you plan to enjoy. What a wonderful family tradition.
Students started their day with table time rotations. AM and PM kindergarten enjoyed Physical Education today, and PM kindergarten also enjoyed Music.
Remember those pumpkin seeds we planted! Well today we final took some time to observe and investigate what we grew. Students enjoyed looking closely at their young pumpkin plants. They used magnifying glasses to carefully observe the seeds, roots and sprouts up close. Some fun observations were ... tiny hairs on the sprouts (Fred), mine is fuzzy (Ayan), and even some mold (Lincoln). Some plants were a little less impressive than we had hoped .... I only have one sprout (Seth).
Students used their labeling skills to add some scientific labels to a sketch of their plant: seeds, soil, roots, plant. Students used a ruler, and in some cases the class meter stick to measure one of their pumpkin sprouts. The longest sprout measured goes to Brayden, at 35 cm in length.

Thank you Willa for sharing your piece of our Rock Star quilt. Students were excited to see two flags of origin and hear about your German and Bahamian roots! Willa received many complements from her peers. Great job! |
Thank you PM Rock Star Lincoln for doing all of the special Rock Star duties. We look forward to you sharing your piece of the classroom quilt when ever you have chance to bring in your family traditions template.
Have a lovely evening.
