Student continue to explore and name their emotions. Today students discussed a strategy to help them calm down and/or feel better when they are feeling very busy or sad. Slowing down our breathing and thinking of a happier time can help make us feel better when we are overwhelmed or sad.

Boston: When my Mom bought me a pet. She bought me a baby puppy.
Maisie: My happy thought is when I play with my sister and we go somewhere and when my Mom bought be a puppy with black fur.
Robbie: When we went to Sylvan lake. We went to a bouncy house that was really high up.
Ashton: Thinking about my Mom and hugging my Mom.
Brielle: When we went to Disney World because I got to go to Goofy's candy factory and my parents let me get a pack of goldfish and popsicle unicorn horns.
Lincoln: When my Mom bought me a hamster.
Xavier: When I think about Lincoln.
Jace: When I go to treehouse.
Emily: When I was 3 and went to Calaway park I had so much fun.
Akbar: When I think about getting a knife for my birthday.
Scarlett: My happy thought is think about cats and hoping that Mom buys one.

Layla: When my Dad takes my dogs to the hair salon it makes me smile.
Brayden: When I went to Calaway park with Jaxen.
Gracie: When I went to Maisie birthday at treehouse.
Working with oil pastels was a new material for some of us very "smooth" and "soft"

Thank you PM Rock Star Xavier for sharing all about the groups you belong to. Xavier enjoys Break Dancing and plans to join Karate and Par-core. Xavier demonstrated a few cool moves including front rock and back rock as well as the floss. Great job!
