Today's Amazing Rock Stars

Congratulations to AM Rock Star Poppy.  Poppy shared that she belongs to a dance group and loves ballet.  She showed us her ballet shoes and demonstrated a dancer's curtsy.  Poppy likes ballet because it is fun and slow.

Congratulations to PM Rock Star Jace. Jace shared that he belongs to a swimming class at the Trico.  Jace likes to jump in the water, roll of the floating boat (and whale) and swim across the big pool. Great job Jace!

Our Learning Job:  Informative Writing

Having finished their habitats and forest animal creations, students are now ready to began writing an informational booklet about their forest animal.  Animal research booklets will be shared with fellow students, parents (at conferences) and hopefully our grade two buddies (if time permits).  Students were challenged to refer to their colouring rubric and look for ways to improve their work.

Center Time Activities

Congratulations to PM Rock Star Lincoln for sharing with PM kindergarten.  Lincoln shared that he belongs to soccer and break dancing.  Students were very impressed with Lincoln's 'Coffee Grinder' and 'Around the World 'dance moves. Very cool!  Lincoln also shared that he loves to create art using air dry clay.  Classmates enjoyed feeling a sample of the clay that Lincoln works with.  Lincoln's shared many fun and creative characters. So creative!
